Next Thursday we will have an activity in the classroom to dress your biography characters. Bring pieces of fabric, colored or design construction paper, yarn, cotton or any other thing you would like to use to create them.

Answer and read the sheet to have a better idea.
Here is the information in the sheet:

Think of 10 adjectives that describe your character and write them in the boxes.

Think about the way that you are going to design your character's body.
- is your character going to be wearing pants or a skirt?
- What color clothes will your character wear? will you use markers to color your characters clothes? will you use colored construction paper or fabric to glue on top for your character's clothes?
- how will you design your character's head, hands, and feet? what facial expression will your character have? Does your character have glasses, a hat, or have long hair? Will you use yarn for your character's hair?
- What will your character will be holding in his/her hand? This should be based on what you know about your character from your book.
Use this space below to write down your ideas and any special materials that you will need to design your character's body.

Biography project

BIOGRAPHY PROJECT

This last period we will work in a biography project. I sent home one as an example.
You will have one month to work on it.

- Students already have the name of the character they will work with.

- Your mini booklet should include the following information:

place and date of birth, profession, story of his childhood and family, why is that person important, a page of interesting or curious facts and date and place of death if the person is already dead.

- you can create your booklet as you want, use your creativity. Include illustrations.

- Please read about the character and then try to use simple sentences to write what you learned about that person, avoid cutting and pasting information.

- You will present your work orally sharing what you have learned. All these people have great things to share with the world!

DUE DATE IS JUNE 5

You can organize your project as you want, my suggestion is to cover one or two different subjects each week:
example:
Friday, May 12 - date and place of birth
Friday, May 19 - childhood and family - profession
Friday, May 26 - why is that person important and interesting facts.
Friday June 2 - Date and pale of death, correction, and printing.
(after this date you can start printing)

We will be working with this info in class.

I suggest that you do your work the best you can, and if there are any doubts, you can always ask the teacher (better that asking in the chat).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Hello dear parents and students,

There are a couple of things that I want to inform:
1. Some of you are worried because your IXL account has expired; but the thing is that it has only been changed, meaning that the name is different; instead of having @pedregal, now we use @colegiopeterson.
So, the easiest way to access is to visit this blog page where there is a direct link to IXL.
Hopefully this information is useful.

2. I am developing a new responsibility project, this means that during November and December the homework will not be available in the blog anymore. I will keep track of this only in the agenda and students are going to be responsible of copying it the best way they can. I know that they can do it perfectly, you will see the results when the project is over, I will let you know.
This is a great opportunity for everyone, so please try not to ask in the Whatsapp chat about it; if there is something extremely important I will contact the home room mother.

- Cut 20 pieces of paper or cardboard (you can use index cards). The measure should be 5 x 3.5
this is the size of a small post it, so if you have small post its you can also use them.
Write 5 common nouns to name a person, 5 to name a place, 5 to name an animal and 5 to name a thing.
*Remember that a common noun that names a person is not a proper name like Nay, it should be teacher.

- Choose a story in Raz-Kids, rad it and then answer the questions in your reading notebook.
